Bestiario’s redesign increased time on screen, unearthed buried content, and boosted user participation, but perhaps the most profound change was that it gave our politcal news site the look and feel of a legitimate media channel.

La Silla Vacía is a journalist group organization covering politics and issues of policy in Colombia. Rather than covering the fast-paced expedited daily news cycle, La Silla provides in depth analysis, focusing on the stories that describe how power is exercised in Colombia: the characters who pull the strings, their political strategies and the ideas and interests that underlie the major decisions in the country.

We redesigned LSV to a fully responsive digital property to deliver a premium reading experience. In addition, we worked closely with La Silla in its overhaul of its navigational architecture from its blog content site to a media channel powerhouse. This included redefining its product strategy, improving user experience and enhancing its visual design language to deliver a quality news experience.

Thanks to our ongoing partnership, La Silla has recently been voted the runner-up news site for political matters by the country’s leaders. Just ahead of four major news organizations and right behind El Tiempo, Colombia’s largest circulating newspaper.
